Walthamstow Dogs began life three years ago when John and Emma decided to turn a passion for food from a hobby into a business. The idea was simple. Combine a few simple elements that make walthamstow great and turn it into a street food business. Starting with the legendary East London Sausage Company’s famous sausages, combined with bread from the International Wholesale Bakery and taking inspiration from the amazing variety of fresh food available in the local area. The name is a tribute to the iconic Dog racing stadium. Immortalised by the famous Blur album cover.
Wathamstow has seen an influx of exciting new craft beer venues, street food markets, pop ups and art events over the last few years. Walthamstow Dogs has had the good fortune to be part of this and has made many new friends along the way.

We’ve worked with Walthamstow Dogs for 2 seasons at Printworks London. John and his team have been a delight to work with, always available even when notice is short. Our staff and customers have had nothing but positive feedback, with great offerings for meat eaters and vegans. Sam Barber – Operations – Printworks
Walthamstow Dogs are a pleasure to work with, have been willing to trial new projects with us as well as our flagship events and – most importantly – serve delicious hotdogs! Katie Pomeroy – Waltham Forest Council
I have worked with John and Emma over the past 2 years on big flagship events for the institution. They are an instant hit with students and staff and the community for their great prices, service and are always welcomed back , so much so that they now have a regular Thursday slot on campus to trade. I would recommend Walthamstow Dogs to work with every day of the week a fantastic food outlet. Carley Owen – University of East London
